There is always plenty to do around Elkhart: catch a show at the Lerner Theatre, head over to the fairgrounds, or watch the copious amounts of jazz musicians the Elkhart Jazz Festival brings in.

Elkhart Bog Trail
Location: Elkhart Bog Nature Preserve, Elkhart, IN
Distance: 1 mile
Elevation Gain: 0 feet
Difficulty: 1/10
Don’t let this short trail deceive you, this bog offers some lovely, accessible views. The hidden gem trail brings you out to an overlook. Bring your bug spray and keep an eye out for wildlife—if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a snapping turtle!
Boot Lake Trail
Location: Boot Lake County Park, Elkhart, IN
Distance: 3.4 miles
Elevation Gain: 60 feet
Difficulty: 2/10
Looking for a beautiful lakeside trail? Look no further! This hidden gem winds between Boot Lake and Buttonbush Lake. This offers lovely lake views and peaceful forest landscapes.
Cobus Pond Loop
Location: Cobus Creek County Park, Elkhart, IN
Distance: 1.2 miles
Elevation Gain: 10 feet
Difficulty: 1/10
This hidden gem trail meanders along the Cobus Creek and offers some spectacular views of the pond. Keep your eyes peeled for waterfowl and plenty of birds!
